About the Event

On January 11th, 2023, we will mark Heschel's 50th Yahrzeit, which also happens to be his birthday on the secular calendar.  This date also falls within the week leading up to MLK day.  The convergence of these events speaks to the special connection between these two visionaries and calls us to examine the ways in which their dreams have yet to be fully realized.  Let us gather for an evening of learning and reflecting in a way that truly honors their legacy and their friendship.   The evening will include an opening learning session with Earl Schwartz, author of numerous books and articles on Jewish life and education, including The Arc of the Covenant, followed by presentations from Demetrios Vital, DEI Practitioner (Connecting Cultures for Peace) and Brandon Schorsch, Combating Hate Program Manager(JCA).

(Registration Fee $15.00)
