Hadassah has long been active in the fight against antisemitism and hate, using its influence as a powerful national organization and as individuals. As antisemitic incidents surge — often in our own communities we need to stand together to fight hate.

Recently Hadassah members successfully urged their legislators to confirm Deborah Lipstadt as the US State Department’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism with the rank of Ambassador – a title we worked hard to help elevate.

Here are four ways you can help fight antisemitism right now:

  • Urge your lawmakers to add funds to combat antisemitism in upcoming defense and spending bills, including the addition of funding to support the United States’ strategic alliance with Israel, advance mutual security and support the health and wellbeing of members of our armed forces.

  • Urge your legislators to hold the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) accountable for introducing hate to children through antisemitic textbooks, and support the Peace and Tolerance in Palestinian Education Act.

  • Urge your legislators to support H.Res.1292 to include a minute of silence in every future Olympic Opening Ceremonies to remember the 11 Israeli athletes murdered in an antisemitic act of violence at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.

  • Urge your lawmakers to support the COI Elimination Act to end the UN COI targeting Israel, which has empowered antisemitic commissioners to conduct an unprecedented, unending investigation intended to isolate and discredit Israel.
