About the Event
Connecting Cultures For Peace is embarking on our 21-Day Equity Challenge! Join these Study Circles to talk with others in the Connecting Cultures For Peace community as we collectively and individually deepen our anti-racist and anti-oppressive behaviors and thoughts.
Anti-racist and anti-oppressive thinking and behavior takes practice and dedication. Dr. Eddie Moore Jr and Debby Irving developed 21-Day Equity Challenges a way for folks to make a habit out of learning, thinking, and doing anti-oppression. We've put together this resource list as a place for you to start your habit of Equity learning!
What to expect at these Study Circles
To allow for conversation and interaction, we will limit participation to a small group. After submitting this form, you will receive an email indicating whether you are signed up for the session or whether you're on a waiting list.
You do NOT need to do any particular reading or studying in advance of each session. While we encourage you to take part in the 21-day equity challenge, there are no prerequisites. Please note that these workshops will include conversation about racism, antisemitism, and other systems of oppression. These will be multicultural spaces; we're intending to be inclusive of folks of all backgrounds, identities, and learning journeys.
These sessions will be held over Zoom (after you register, we'll send you a link via email). We will use chat, share screens, and may place participants in breakout rooms to facilitate small-group conversations. In order to make sure everyone has a chance to speak and listen, you will be asked to respond to particular prompts and talk in a particular speaking order (alphabetically by first name, for example), so that everyone has a chance to have their voice heard, and to hear others' voices.
Please email info@connectingcultures.org with any questions!
